The Spring concert was fantastic! We continue to be impressed with the organization and the high quality education the students receive. All groups sounded wonderful and it was great to see the development from the youngest group to the oldest. We also loved the slideshow and video.
Thank you to Crescendo for a great performance and a wonderful year of singing!
Harrison
Concert Choir Member
As long as Harrison could talk he has loved to sing, so when he was old enough to join KCC it was a no brainer. Paula Martin, the KCC music director was my first music director and taught me the love and discipline of music. I wanted that same experience for my son. It has been so fun to watch Harrison develop his music ability and confidence from such a young age! He still loves to sing, and his elementary music teacher frequently tells me how he is a leader in her classroom by modeling singing posture, discipline, tone and confidence. These qualities are hard to develop in a school day when specials are constantly squeezed and rearranged despite our music teacher’s best efforts. So, weekly choir rehearsals and regular performances are key to developing these crucial skills in our kids. We are so pleased with results we have seen while with KCC/Crescendo, and we look forward to seeing how he is supported as he transitions from elementary to middle school. – Heather, Harrison’s mother
Jillian
Concert Choir alumna
I have been in choir since I was in 4th grade when I was accepted into the audition choir at my school. I have always loved music and I am so glad that I was introduced to Crescendo by my choir director at school during the summer before my freshman year. Over the years, I haven’t felt too confident in my singing abilities but since I joined Crescendo, my confidence has grown. Being apart of this group has helped me be a better leader, singer, and friend. Crescendo has allowed me to use what I already know about music from band and choir with school in a new environment and help younger singers read music or find the right pitch. Now I am graduated from high school and am moving on with my life. Thank you for all of the memories and friends that I was given over the past couple of years. I will remember this time for years to come. I am saddened that I will not be singing along side the other singers but am thrilled to be in the audience listening to their beautiful voices and seeing how much they thrive. I love you all.

Birdie
Carolers Member
Birdie is a second-generation KCC/Crescendo singer. As soon as I started telling her in first grade about my powerful experience with the organization – the enduring friendships, exciting performances, international travel, and so much more – she was determined to audition as soon as she was old enough to be a Caroler! Even though she was very nervous on audition day, Paula Martin and the warm, encouraging staff helped her feel at home immediately. She braved her way through that audition and has never looked back! A year later, Birdie is more confident than ever across the board, thanks in large part to director Kevin Nicoletti’s engaging spirit and musical expertise. She can’t wait to make more new friends and keep growing as a singer in future seasons! – Brett, Birdie’s father
